FREE FROM FREEDOM

My life is of a prince,
Caged behind the palace boundary,
Living the life of unknown sins,
If this is freedom I don’t want to be free

Fortune adores my feet,
Opportunity rests on my hand,
Wealth behind like a huge fleet,
But the world outside is painted on sand

My life that you see,
Has the shine of gold,
It’s a fire seen from far,
Which is burning my blood cold

I have the priority,
In everybody’s sacred list,
But they are all stealthy,
Long hiding their guilty gist

I have the right to see,
But only through borrowed eyes,
They show me I’m happy and free,
But this freedom is my demise

They want me to express,
On doing so they pay no heed,
They don’t know I’m in distress,
Seeing my desires bleed

I have my dream to show,
But they don’t want to see,
I’m free like a wingless bird,
And if this is freedom, I don’t want to be free.
