A DYING STAR

I saw a star pass by
Moving slowly like a tear,
When babies cry
Moving down without a hope
Without a wish, without a grope

Away from home by a billion light years
Still lit not the world, but the universe
Burning inside hotter than the sun
A mask of silver, making Christmas fun

Wonder the kids as up above the world
This diamond twinkles and twirls
Nothing hides from its light
Knows the way to new born Christ

It dies as an unsolved mystery
An enchanting tale of fascinating history
As it dies all old and worn
It grows beautiful with the tail it adorns

A dying star is a sight to behold
Watch it close, as a lesson unfolds
Lights the universe though burning inside
Making millions watch as it dies
