A DESIRE

I have a desire
Which is fuelling the fire
It'll burn me to ashes
If the desire's met with clashes

Myself I mislead
Towards sin and greed
But this fire burns my feet
Makes me retreat

I follow worldly norms
And meet conventional thorns
If what they say I do
Nameless I shall die too

So I'll end this fire
And make the world admire
By following my dreams
Making possible what impossible seems

Those who step over me
Shall tomorrow kiss my feet
Those who hate and accuse
Shall feel honoured by my abuse

The ones who shower love
I shall keep all above
To ones who call me friend
My life I shall lend

And a promise I make
All's admiration I'll take
As I burn on my pyre
If only I follow my desire
